Crimp bead - something that holds strings &/or wires together.  A little bead with thin sides, that gets the strings passed through them, then using a plier you squeeze their brains out to flatten them. 

A crimp holds all your goodies together so you will want to make sure you use good quality crimps (like ours) that don't crack, peel or slip.
