The shape of these is quite unusual. They are a square block pillow shape, softened by kind of 'pinched' edges. This creates like a slight faceted look, which on turn throws the light around. Very very interesting, and we have these at a huge discount as we have a large quantity in stock. Grab a bag today! We have 4 colours - dark cream, light blue, light pink and light purple. All are pastel pearlised look.
Sometimes the beads look like they have no seam, but others seem to have a slightly visible seam. They are a bit of a mystery, but possibly made from lucite or acrylic, possibly around the 1980s. Pastels originally became fashionable in the 18th Century!
These lustrous beads are pearlescent, and such light pastel colours! It's quite unusual to find such soft colours in old beads.
Make anything you like with these! They will be great on earrings &/or necklaces, bracelets too. However I can see them best on a lovely necklace with little spacer beads in between. When you have a square bead it's best to space them so they 'turn the corner' on your project.
