This bead comes from really old stock, back when macrame was in fashion in the 70/80s! We made a rather large bead haul around 2006 and these were amongst the goodies, and they were quite old back then!
The beads are very lightweight, and have no joining seams. This tan colour in this range just really makes you want to start creating!
The whopping big threading hole is large enough to pass thick cords through, possibly twice according to the thickness of the cord, and so is great for macrame projects, loom work, adding to bag cords etc etc.
These have a matte finish, and they look to me like they have been hand painted/stained somehow. If you look in the photos you can see where the colour finishes just inside the holes.
Beads with large holes big enough for thick rope to pass through are really hard to come by! But here at Bead Shack we have quite a range of large holed beads!
