Drum shaped beads can look really wonderful on a long headpin with just a small bead top and bottom, or teamed up with other shapes around a necklace. Use some amazing bead caps either side of the drums for an even better effect!
The carvings on these cinnabar beads is a minimal design, unlike some of the more ancient designs.

Centuries ago, people became very ill from making/wearing cinnabar due to it's mercury content! Today's cinnabar is most probably made from resin - sometimes still hand carved, and totally safe to wear.
