These French Crimps are 2mm wide and are of the most excellent quality. Really tough - you won't have a failure using these ones! The base metal is brass-based, so extremely strong but still pliable. Coatings are annealed, so they don't flake or peel. Quantities may be approximate as may be weighed rather than counted.
Crimps like these are used for securing cords, wires, threads etc when making necklaces, bracelets, even decorations and craft projects. To close the crimp, use flat (and not corrugated) jaw of the pliers, securing the cords within the bead.
Always check that your threads you intend to use will fit the crimp before starting your project. If the cord is too thick it's good to know before you start!
For really thick cords Bead Shack has 3mm crimps in either gold or silver, and these are great for thicker or multiple cords.
